Professor TIINA KARU

Did you know that Estonia has it´s own laser specialist? Prof. Tiina Karu is the most quoted scientist in the world when it comes to conference´s about medacal laser and she has been running a successful institute named after her in St.Peterburg. Thanks to her work we know today what effect laser has on living cells and she discovered the effect laser has on cell membranes in mitochondrial ATP synthesis process. Stimulative effect on cells which is caused by LLLT “Low Level Laser Therapy” has found use mainly in pain therapy.
